Aliona Doletskaya is a daughter of a prominent Russian surgeons, she grew up in a home where discipline and style come first. Aliona graduated from the Moscow State University with a degree in Comparative Linguistics. She completed her PHD on the Russian and English contemporary spoken rhetoric. Afterwards she translated several publications of Ray Bradbury and William Faulkner.

In the early 90’s, Aliona began to focus away from education and more on media and PR. She worked as a producer and reporter for BBC and RLT TV channels, as a media consultant for DeBeers and later accepted a position as PR Director for The British Council. During her tenure there, Aliona was involved in cultural events including “Living Bridges”, an exhibition of The Royal Academy of Arts and “Treasures of the Tower” a joint presentation between The Kremlin and The Tower of London.

In 1998 Aliona accepted an offer to launch and lead Vogue Russia as an editor-in-chief. During Aliona’s 12 years at the helm, the publication became the authoritative voice on fashion in Russia.
