Katya Mtsitouridze, Russian TV-host, film critic, editor in chief of «Variety Russia», General producer of SPIMF and member of SPIMF Board of Trustees, CEO at ROSKINO.

Born in Tbilisi. In 1994, graduated from the History and Movie studies faculties of the Academician Ivan Dzhavakhishvili`s Tbilisi State University. Her History degree thesis was devoted to the Italian missionaries (she used to specialize in medieval studies), the Cinema studies thesis - to Otar Ioseliani`s creative work. The History faculty had given her the Master`s degree.

In 1991-1992, she used to write for the "Cinema" journal, the "Novinky ekrana" (News of the screen) daily newspaper in Tbilisi. Since 1992, had worked at the 2nd (new and very young) channel of the Georgian State Television anchoring the weekly "Shot 1" program. The program dealt with the news of culture and art, and Ekatherina used to provide for the movie part of it.

In 1994, she moved to Moscow. In 1995, worked at the XIX Moscow International movie festival as an aide to its President Sergey Solovyov.

Since the autumn of 1995, she had worked at the "Teleutro" (TV-morning) program at ORT. There was no special movie part in the program at that time, and Ekatherine just provided some information about it, inviting movie persons to the studio, preparing their biographies for the editors and anchors, did some editing and reporting.

Since 1996, she has been hosting her author`s program part "This is cinema".
